SunCampDR is a place to rest, where you find peace, harmony and tranquility. You will be received like as member of a community aiming towards enhancing your physical and emotional wellbeing. At the same time, you will enjoy a pleasant and unique vacation or stay in the tropics, enjoying one f the best climates in the world. You will recognize the real values of the person such as dignity and many others.
During your stay, we would like that you enjoy the discovery of positive aspects of another culture, other manners and lifestyles. You will be amazed to see the happiness and friendliness of the people which is for us the best antidote against stress.
Therefore, we kindly ask for your understanding and solidatary actions while at the same time you make a new encounter with yourself, sharing with others who have nothing or very Little in this world. You don’t need any specific qualifications, the most important is your desire to help and some small actions that will bring help and some humanitarian contributions as an answer to create a better world. Come and share some moments with Munoz people with children, adolescents and adults while teaching at the schools or at Suncampdr. Organize some cultural events or sports. The idea is that you come and integrate to the community where your presence alone will be a sunray of hope.
For this reason, we would like to make clear that you are not considered as a client, which would mean only a lucrative purpose. At the moment you visit us, we would like you to know that we consider you as a human being, a member of our community and we welcome you with open arms.
Of course that there is a cost, we need to be able to provide you with a comfortable lodging and services. The most important is for you to understand that we are not only a business, we are a humanitarian business, where money is not the only and major concern. Your experience will be enriching personally and you will be confronted with other values in life and a reflexion of how great can be simplicity.
You must also be aware that you are coming to the tropics, where vegetation is luxurious and abundant and there is a rich animal life. In the Dominican Republic, there are no venomous species, don’t worry.
You must also realize that you are visiting a third world country where the conditions are different and the water and energy infrastructure are weak. For this reason, we must help in economizing them. In that sense, you have to be ready to adapt to the great differences compare to your country. We also encourage composting.
We would like to make some specifications, if you come to this island for drugs and prostitution; Suncampdr is not the place for you. Our prices are economical but this must not be your reason for joining us. Welcome to a humanitarian experience with fraternity among us and with the community.
