Fishing Trip; Time for a Little Change During Your Travel Vacation?

Let’s go on a fishing trip organised at SunCampDR. We get in the back of the truck with our equipment, bathing suits, towels and ingredients to prepare meals. René, our employee has been a fisherman for many years. We propose an outing at the Cangrejo beach, about 25 minutes drive from here where we will be fishing on the beach, or on the reefs. René knows the ocean, the tide and the spots for catching the most fish. You can use a fishing pole, a wire, or a net.

In the meantime, we have others who will simply swim in the ocean or in the fresh water river right on-site. Some others may just take walks. Don’t forget your camera as you will enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the ocean. We had some guests who were doing kick boxing with locals and pictures in the shadows in front of the sunset were really exceptional.

Time to cook! Oh yes, a typical meal cooked right there on the beach tastes so much better. Let‘s share a drink telling all kind of stories not told for while... a joyful event! Another event that brings people closer together at SunCampDR, a different experience with the most beautiful scenery... unique to our tropical style!

Last time it started to rain a little, so we put up a tarp attached to the trees and the fun continued! We had brought a little gas burner but there was a problem with it so we gathered a pile of wood and cooked our Dominican asopao (rice soup with meat). Everybody enjoyed it! We can cook a different menu but as you may know the rice is always part of the Dominican flag (la bandera dominicana... this is the way they call the Dominican Republic typical meal that the poor and the rich all enjoy at every midday meal). We may return with many or few fishes but for sure we return with a smile on our face... Another great and unique vacation experience unknown to the regular tourist.

Of course if you want to go deep sea fishing, we can recommend a good company that does those more costly excursions.
