Making a Fire at the Top of SunCampDR Mountain

Another interesting event while you are vacation at SunCampDR. After the volunteer dinner to gather funds for Francia’s cesarean, we walked on top of the mountain where the dry wood was to be  lit up. It was a friendly atmosphere…a few songs in different languages, as there were different nationalities…a few reflexions or thoughts…We were really glad to have gathered 2,875 pesos for Francia who really needed it as a single mother. We have made a difference in someone’s life today with this dinner organized at SunCampDR and we are very thankfull to all the renters. On top of the mountain, many volunteers also had their spirit on top of the world!

Everyone took pictures of the fire and then remained silent. It was also the saying goodbye to Jackly and Meg who are leaving the next day…

This activity is fun to do when you are on vacation under the tropics…it is not as cold as when we usually prepare a fire in our cold countries. The event brings people together and is a very appreciated. We share interesting moments. As Jennifer mentioned we only forgot about the marshmallow cooked on the fire! Well, it was a joyful way of terminating that special day under the tropics. Don’t miss it and please make sure you mention to us that you like to participate in making the fire!  This is quite an exercise to go up the small mountain! Both Meg and Jackie promise to come back to SunCampDR. We are waiting for them and also… for you!
